Privacy Policy

PriceSeek compares App Store prices. We collect as little as we can to run it.

What we store

• Prices and app details we read from Apple's public App Store pages and lookup service.
• Search terms typed into the search box, with a one-way keyed digest of the IP address (not the address itself), to see which apps people look for and to stop abuse.
• A count of views per app page, without any information about who viewed it.
• When you add an app that nobody has compared yet, the same keyed digest of your IP address, to limit how many apps one address can add per hour.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and uses your Google account. We receive and keep your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and a session record (with the time, IP address and browser of the sign-in) so you stay signed in. We never receive or store a password. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

What stays in your browser

Your chosen display currency, comparison region, theme and language are stored in your browser (local storage and a language cookie) and are never sent to us.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service to count visits. It does not track you across sites.

Third parties

Flag images are loaded from flagcdn.com and app icons from Apple's image servers, which receive your IP address as with any image request. Fonts are served by Google Fonts.
